Mel graduated from Utah College of Massage Therapy in 2000 but before that she was practicing massage on her water polo team in high school to improve the flexibility and range of motion of her team mates. Doing professionally what she loved opened many doors and she furthered her studies in Rolfing, or the Ida P. Rolf Method of Structural Integration. Working alongside Chiropractors and Physical Therapists, Mel dived in to learning more advanced clinical and anatomical studies. Her passion is to work in a small practice because "I can get to know the people and families I work on. They are communities." In addition to massage, Mel enjoys mountain climbing, writing and creating new vegan and vegetarian recipes.
May comes to us highly recommended as the most requested therapist at her last location in Boise. She loves deep tissue and she is good at it! She grew up giving massages to family members and is passionate about helping people alleviate their pain. For her, the most rewarding part of doing bodywork is, "helping people feel better and seeing their progression." May recently moved to Canyon County and we could not be happier about it. Besides massage therapy, May loves to be outdoors gardening and traveling the world.
May specializes in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, KT Taping, Cupping, Hot Stones and Himalayan
